The one-day RYA Powerboat Level 1 (PB1) course is ideal for those wishing to get a taster experience of powerboat driving, under the watchful eye of a qualified instructor.
The course requires no previous experience and provides a practical introduction to boat handling and safety, covering boating techniques for launching and recovering a boat from a road trailer, everyday boat handling and the use of safety equipment.
Students will be taught in a ratio of no more than three, to one instructor.
An RYA certificate will be issued on successful completion of the course.
This course would make an ideal gift for children who want to learn more about driving a powerboat in a safe and enjoyable atmosphere.
For adults, we recommend booking onto the RYA Powerboat Level 2 course as this is much more comprehensive and covers all aspects of the PB1 course.
