At HLSTC we have a thriving Youth Section, which we are very proud of!  Because of this, we are working hard to make further imrovements to what we already offer to our juniors.

Our special Junior Membership is just £60 per child per year and includes a free boat pass to use one of our 42 youth boats!  You can choose from Oppies, RS Teras, Toppers, Laser Picos and RS Fevas.  In addition we also have a Topper Omega, Laser 2000s and a Topper Vibe for the older, more advanced JMs.  For more info see the Membership Brochure.

Classes of Junior Membership

Junior Member: Stage 3 qualified or above, able to sail without RYA DI supervision. Includes free boat pass.

Temporary Junior Member: Stage 2 qualified, only able to sail with supervision of a HLSTC Dinghy Instructor (DI) at the Youth Club or as a crew for a stage 3 qualified helm. Includes free boat pass.

Familiy Member Junior: Does not include boat pass, please see Membership Brochure.

Clubs and Sessions

Youth Club: A free fortnightly session on Monday Evenings from 1800-2000 starting 10th May - 23rd August.  This session is supervised by a HLSTC DI and therefore is open to all JMs, TJMs (and FMJs if they have at least st 2 and boat pass)

Youth Race Training: A free weekly Sunday training session followed by a Junior Race. JMs only (and FMJs if they have st 3 and boat pass). See the race prgramme for details.
