Racing is an excellent way to improve your skills, and has a fantastic social side too.  We have an active racing scene and always enjoy seeing new competitors!

If you are a bit unsure about joining in, there is the option of attending a RYA Start Racing course at the club (enquire at the HLSTC office). There are also lots of experienced members who are looking for a crew or will quite happily help you helm.  Members can contact our Race Secretary, Ian Simpson to join in: hlstc_race@tiscali.co.uk

Youth Race Training: There is now free race training to Youth Members and a Youth Race Series held on Sundays (Dates on the Youth poster in Downloads)

The Friday Evening Series starts 20th April 2012 at 7pm, and Sunday racing is running as usual. 

Racing is free and open to all HLSTC sailing members regardless of racing ability level.  There is organised racing with safety cover and a Race Officer, mainly in the form of Series Handicap racing, but with some other formats too.
